At Salty Souls Surf, we know that life (and the ocean) can be unpredictable.
Our goal is to make your booking experience fair, flexible, and stress-free — while ensuring our team and instructors can prepare your surf session with confidence.
1. Cancellations by You
We understand plans can change. You can cancel or reschedule your lesson as follows:

More than 24 hours before your scheduled class:
You can reschedule or cancel your booking free of charge.
Full refunds will be issued to your original payment method. -
Less than 24 hours before your class:
Cancellations made within 24 hours are non-refundable, as your spot, instructor, and surf gear are already reserved. -
No-shows:
If you don’t attend your lesson without notice, the session is considered used and cannot be refunded or rescheduled.
2. Multi-Class Passes (3-Day or Package Deals)
If you purchase a surf pass or multi-day package:
- You can reschedule any session up to 24 hours in advance.
- All sessions must be used within 3 months of purchase.
- Unused sessions after this period will expire and cannot be refunded.
3. Cancellations by Salty Souls Surf
Because we work with nature, sometimes the conditions are not suitable for surfing.
We may cancel or postpone a class due to:
- Unsafe surf or weather conditions
- Instructor illness or emergency
- Beach closures or safety warnings
If we cancel your session, you’ll be offered:
- A free reschedule to another available date, or
- A full refund to your original payment method
We’ll always notify you as soon as possible by email or phone.
4. Refunds
All approved refunds are processed through Shopify Payments (or your original payment method).
Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or provider.
Refunds are only available for bookings made directly through our official website or authorised partners.
Gift cards, promotional offers, and discounted packages are non-refundable.
5. Late Arrivals
Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your class to check in and get ready.
If you arrive late, we’ll do our best to include you, but lessons cannot be extended or refunded for missed time.
6. How to Request a Refund or Reschedule
To cancel, reschedule, or request a refund, contact us via:

Include your full name, booking reference, and date of the lesson.
7. Exceptional Circumstances
If unexpected circumstances occur (injury, illness, travel restrictions, etc.), please contact us directly.
We review these cases individually to find the fairest possible solution.
8. Legal Compliance
This policy follows the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which guarantees your right to a repair, replacement, or refund if a service fails to meet the standards of due care, skill, or purpose.
